Last minute Oscar predictions and Brokeback Mountain review
I saw "Brokeback Mountain" last night, and think it's going to win, mainly because it's a very well made movie, it has a sorrow ending, and a life-long journey feel to it. Acting, directing and production values are all top. It also helps that the subject matter is for the first time approached in a mainstream movie, in such a "mainstream" way.I haven't seen most of the other films nominated, except for 4 out of the 5 films nominated for Best Picture. (Haven't seen "Capote" yet).
I'm going to spend the night watching the live telecast of the Oscars, and even if it is so close before it starts, here are my predictions, courtesy of Yahoo Movies. (Hope the link still works after the event)
Here's to a great Oscar night!
UPDATE: Party crashed. . .big time - "Crash" wins best picture!
