Director Robert Altman Dies at 81
Robert Altman, the legendary director behind such modern classics as MASH, Nashville, The Player, and Gosford Park, died Monday night in Los Angeles; he was 81.Very sad news I'm afraid. He was a true master of the art of moviemaking.
Legendary director Robert Altman, whose films included M*A*S*H*, Nashville, The Player, and most recently The Prairie Home Companion, and who received five Oscar nominations during his long career, died Monday in Los Angeles at age 81. The announcement was made by his film company, Sandcastle 5 Productions today (Tuesday). The cause of death was not disclosed. Earlier this year, he received a lifetime achievement Oscar from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Accepting the award, Altman said, "No other filmmaker has gotten a better shake than I have. ... I've never had to direct a film I didn't choose or develop."

Το περιοδικο ΤΙΜΕ δεν πρόλαβε να δημοσιέυσει αυτη την είδηση τόσο γρήγορα οσο εσεις κε Σαμπράκο! Αυτο δείχνει οτι οι πληροφορίες στο ιντερνετ κυκλοφορούν πιο γρήγορα απο τα περιοδικά, απο την Τηλεόραση και γενικότερα είναι το πιο γρήγορο και εξειδικευμένο μέσο (ΤΟ ΜΟΝΟ ΜΕΣΟ ) που ο καθένας επιλέγει το μύνημα που θα διαβάσει και όχι το μύνημα το κοινό παραλήπτη!!!
